Sutura Studio is inspired by the age-old tailoring of Balinese, Javanese, and Indonesian culture, our garments are a fusion of tailoring and timeless design. Sutura Studio ideology revolves around minimizing the supply chain by sourcing materials, sampling, producing in Bali, Indonesia. By keeping everything small scale and close to home, we eliminate unnecessary transportation and reduce our carbon footprint. Our Bali based flagship store serves as the cornerstone of our efforts to maintain a short and sustainable supply chain.
Beyond reducing waste by only creating a few items per design, we aim to empower you to make conscious choices with your fashion. We encourage you to slow down, pay a fair price and wait for your garment to arrive, and recognize the appreciation that comes with tailor crafted items and all the efforts done to achieve a quality and unique garment.
We believe in a sustainable and lasting style. We want you to cherish the products you’ve waited for and wear them for decades to come, without going out of style or falling apart.
Created IN BALI BY LOCAL TAILORS
We are a team of dedicated individuals: the designer, pattern maker and tailors and knitwear craftsmen. Each item is made by one tailor from start to finish.
Wage Transparency
We are proud to pay our tailors and pattern maker an honest wage based on the time dedicated to the garment made.
our team
We believe natural fabrics are better for both you and the planet. We use cotton and linen for our pieces which are skin friendly, breathable, soft and comfortable.
Natural materials are less resource intensive in manufacturing and more durable than synthetic fabrics, making them a lasting, sustainable choice.
